| OKAY< OKAY< SO I'm updating! Yes, it has been a while. Yes, a lot of life has happened. Yes, some could say, I have aged quite a bit. And in one week, I had (along with my husband)a SILVER anniversary and a GOLDEN birthday (by myself) . Not everyone can say that. Although some of the sheen and shimmer of these special days has dimmed, I still have the glow of many special memories because of family and friends who took the time to celebrate. Thanks, everyone. And now, because of the virtue of my advancing age, I now have an even higher platform from which to speak. I can bestow wisdom and experience on anyone who will listen. (Do I have anyone's attention? Anyone at all? Yes? Yours? Okay.) So, let me bestow.
The only life worth living is one living with the Lord Jesus. When He said, I am the Way, one thing He meant was "I am the Way to Live". Moment by moment living with Jesus is what I aspire to and fail at every day. But it is still the only way. Anything we are doing which is outside of Him is a waste of time. Anything we do that is In Him is eternal, and therefore, worth our time and devotion.
And, so, with that thought I will sign off, praying blessings on you as you live in Jesus, the only way to live.

| Hi, all...(my readership, all three of you!) Just had to take a moment to relfect on today...taking Claire off to college again...doesn't seem real. Especially the fact that she will be a junior at the end of THIS semester, the one starting Thursday. Her college years are flying... and I can't make them slow down. I am so happy for her because she is so happy to be back. I am only sad because of missing her.
Beppy is 6 months away from having her own blog, and John...he could be driving any day, if we can just find the driver's ed certificate and go take the Permit test.
See, you are all growing up before my eyes....THis is a good thing, except for the part that misses you.
I am too tired to be eloquent... Good night, everyone. | | |
| I know you are proud that I am finally updating my blog... you being my
three kids who are the only ones who read my blog! Yes, God has
done an awesome thing for which we are very glad. He has
gotten Claire through surgery and she is on the mend. What
tremendous relief. Sort of like childbirth. If
it had not been for the Lord on OUR side....well, just put it this way,
God opened the doors that were closed with insurance, led us to the
right doctor, led us to a great facility, and has blessed the recovery
so far. There has been pain and suffering, oh yes. But not
many people will be able to say they have had their mouth wired
shut and lived to tell it. It's all about character
and how God is giving us opportunities to trust Him and grow in the
midst of pain and aggravation. So, here I end my blog with a
prayer that we all can learn from Claire's trials and triumphs.
You go, girl!

| I still don't know exactly why they call it "GOOD".
Torturing and then murdering an innocent Man cannot be thought of as
good, except that His death brought about life for anyone who will take
it. So, I am very grateful for His sacrifice on Good
Friday. And I am really excited about celebrating the Resurrection
which was the most AMAZING show of POWER ever!!! And who does God
choose to reveal this to???? A bunch of WOMEN!! I love it. So,
anyway, I am updating my blog on this day with a thankful heart,
remembering Jesus.

| Forgive me but I am a braggadocious mom and feel I must do what braggers do....brag on their children....
Claire, my oldest who is now a big college girl, was selected to be one
of ten students (I assume scholarship winners) to help with this year's
scholarship competition weekend. Her job was to help them get
where they needed to go, calm their nerves, etc. She was chosen
for "people skills".(It was just a year ago that she was a prospective
student, competiting for scholarships!) She also made an A- on
her last paper. Homeschoolers rock.
John, my only son whom I love, was chosen by his art teacher to
submit his last drawing to be in an art show at the Sawtooth
Center in March. So, we are looking foward to seeing his work on
display!
And, Bethany, my baby, just learned today that she has been promoted to the next level in her dance school.
Of course, we give God all the glory for these honors and the gifts He
has obviously given them. And we thank Him for blessing us with
these dear ones.
There. End of bragging. Blessings to all.
